Personals Profile Help?

I want to change my profile on Yahoo Personals, but I'm not sure what's best to say and how to start. I know that details are the best, but every time I think of something it seems like it makes me sound pathetic. I mean, here I am writing this question at 2 am...

I'm a quiet guy. I don't like big crowds, and I generally avoid parties on the off chance that I am invited to one. You'll find me at home on Friday night reading an old action novel for the 10th time more often than you'll find me out somewhere. I'm generally the one with my hands in the air telling a crazy story while my friends snort into their soup, but I tend to clam up around people I don't know. I design and build hovercrafts in my spare time, and I have my own published comic strip. I'm a hopeless romantic. I open doors, carry books, and I'm a sucker for a dinner for two. I'm inventive, creative, artistic, intelligent, and I don't mind speaking my mind. But how can I say all of that nicely in a profile? I need help!
