Does match.com or yahoo personals work? any success stories or failures?

I have recently joined yahoo personals and I am now allowed to im or email prospective dates. I have received "icebreakers" from females that I am interesting in dating,but I emailed them with my phone number and have not heard from them. How are they supposed to contact me they don't have my computer id email,or phone number. Yahoo does not allow you to use your email address in your emails to other prospective dates which I think is stupid. I think I just wasted $49.00 for 3 months for nothing. How should I contact woman and ask them on a date on yahoo personals if they don't repond even after they say they are interested in icebreakers. Is yahoo personals a scam? Do they pay woman to send icebreakers out just so you sign up ? How can I hook up on a date with a woman that I am interested in. Yeah ,I know how it works they have to be interested also,but some of them are..at least from what their icebreakers say.

I got on (free membership only) one night when I was drunk...I don't even remember doing it.

Anyway, my current girlfriend of 1 1/2 years found me on it and sent me an email. I wouldn't have been able to reply as I never paid for the full access account...but she was smart enough to include her email address in the body of the email so I could respond back.

Yes. I am happily married to a man I met through Yahoo! Personals... We've been married almost 2 years and have one child and another on the way. :)
Hang in there, I think there are a lot of nice people on personals. I didn't understand your question though, is it that terrible to send someone your email in your reply? As far as icebreakers from non subscribers. Forget people who don't subscribe. People who don't put out a few dollars can't be bothered with in my opinion.
